About Me

I’m Stephen Crossan, a landscape and wildlife photographer based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. My work is inspired by the raw, untamed beauty of the Scottish outdoors, from the towering peaks of the Highlands to the quiet, windswept beaches of the northeast coast.

What started as a hobby, walking the hills with a camera in hand, soon became a lifelong pursuit to capture the atmosphere, mood, and fleeting moments that make the Scottish landscape so unique.

Whether I’m out before sunrise waiting for light to break over a loch, or lying in wait to photograph red deer, puffins, or ospreys, I aim to tell the story of Scotland’s wild places. My focus is on authenticity, capturing the stillness, power, and quiet drama of nature, just as it is.

My photography is a celebration of Scotland’s natural heritage. Through each image, I hope to share not just what I see, but what I feel when I’m out in the field: a sense of awe, connection, and deep respect for the land and wildlife around us.

  • Aluminum prints are printed directly onto a thin aluminium panel. This is able to bring out texture and depth in the desired image.

  • Acrylic prints are photographic prints with an acrylic overlay that are striking and ideal for any image or setting.

  • Birchwood prints are images printed directly onto a panel of birchwood. These give an organic look with the imperfections, grain and knots in the wood that may be visible.

    These prints come with border options of 1-4”.
